Not all brushes are made equal. Because of its dense bristles, this brush should only be used on wet, detangled hair, after you have applied the gel.
Using light, steady pressure supports healthy styling and helps minimise mechanical stress on the hair. As with any hair tool, aggressive, strong, or repeated force may contribute to hair damage, so make sure you are treating your curls with care!

EDGELIFT BRUSH:

Fully recyclable and made of 100% recycled ocean bound plastic collected by the Prevented Ocean Plastic™ programme. They work with bottle collectors in areas where the coastline is at risk of ocean plastic pollution, to give waste a value and create economic benefits for individuals and local communities.
Easily recyclable with the bottle without needing to peel it off first. It's upcycled from 99% bio-based byproducts that would otherwise go to waste, such as used cooking oil. The production process of this material uses 85% less energy than traditional labels and 9% less CO2.
Unfortunately, our caps are not that special. Our suppliers are working on making them with ocean bound plastic as well, but the technology is not quite there yet, so we had a little setback. For now, they are made with virgin PP plastic, but they are still fully recyclable. Watch this space!
FAQs
Will the gel make my hair crunchy?
Yes, but that's what you need! Crunch is CRUCIAL for curl definition. It is what sets the curls in place and gives you a style that lasts multiple days. But don't worry, it's only temporary. Once your hair is fully dry, you just need to gently scrunch it to release the cast and reveal soft, bouncy curls.
Does it contain Sulfates, Silicones or Parabens?
No, our All Weather Styling Gel doesn't contain any sulfates, silicones or parabens.
Does it contain proteins?
The All Weather Styling Gel is completely protein-free.
Is it Curly Girl Friendly?
Yes, all our products can be used if you follow the Curly Girl Method.
How much product should I use?
It can depend on many variables - particularly your hair density and its length. We always recommend to start with a dime size per section, and add more as you go until you feel that your hair is a bit slimy.
Is it better on wet or damp hair?
We always recommend applying all your leave-in products on soaking wet hair. The water helps disperse them more evenly so you'll get a more consistent result without over-applying.
I have sensory overload, can I use this?
Of course! If slimy textures give you discomfort, there are a few tips to mitigate it.
- apply the product using gloves
- keep a robe on during application and until your hair is dry, so it never touches your back
- prefer diffusing to air drying, so the sensation will disappear a lot quicker
